As the summer’s wound down, we’ve had one last burst of activity during the week of August 5. The ASM Materials Education Foundation put on a teacher workshop for a group of eager Utah teachers. There’s been a great flurry of activity as teachers have been going back and forth between classroom and lab, where they’ve been studying everything from crystal growth under microscopes to there own pieces of ceramics.
The Standard Examiner visited and contributed a nice piece on this and took some good photos.
Working with the ASM and their supporters at Hill Air Force Base has been really fruitful, and we hope that we can do this again another summer!
