First day of Science in the Parks

The “first day” of anything is always exciting.  Our first day of Science in the Parks was no different, filled with lots of kids, sunny skies, and playful science.  Behind the scenes, we were figuring out a last minute vehicle change, a trailer that wasn’t cooperating, and a few details that didn’t work exactly like we planned.  (White glue is way more messy when it’s in the heat of the sun than when you’re inside in the lab.)  But, it was a great start, and we were happy to have everyone there, including Weber State’s president, shown here with kids and our solar telescope:
